About Dr. Greg Polonsky

Since joining our practice in August 2023, Dr. Greg Polonsky has been a key member of our team, offering his commitment and compassionate care as a general dentist to our patients. Born in San Francisco to a family of Ukrainian immigrants and raised in the South Bay, Dr. Polonsky has a strong educational background that started at the University of California, Davis. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, alongside a minor in Technology Management. During his time at UC Davis, Dr. Polonsky was actively involved in research focused on molecular genetics and metabolomics, graduating with an ASBMB Certified Degree with Distinction. He later obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Dr. Polonsky continued refining his expertise through a General Practice Residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and later completed an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at UOP. He earned first place for his case report in clinical removable prosthodontics at the OKU-Sutro Excellence Day and contributed to a research paper at UCSF that examined salivary gland dysfunction caused by cancer treatment, exploring the impact of therapies on oral health and providing recommendations for better outcomes.

With experience treating a wide range of patients in the San Francisco community, Dr. Polonsky is committed to individualized care, ensuring each patient’s specific needs are addressed. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Francisco Dental Society, and he consistently pursues continuing education to stay up to date with the latest advancements in dental technology, striving to provide the highest standard of care.
